A welcoming haven set in tranquil countryside yet easily accessible by road, just 10 minutes from the M6 Junction 43 or 5 minutes from the A69, east-west route.

By road: Carlisle 7 miles, Newcastle 50 miles, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh - All around 100 miles

From the North, South or West: take the A69 from J43 on the M6, in the direction of Hexham / Newcastle, and after 5 -6 miles turn right at the 1st set of traffic lights at Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge. Proceed for 1 mile through the village of Heads Nook and a further mile until the road bears sharply right. As the road bears right, turn left into FAUGH (pronounced FAFF) village - you will find the String of Horses on your left as you go down the hill.

From the East: turn left at the Corby Hill / Warwick Bridge traffic lights. These are the first set of traffic lights on the A69, some 3 miles after having passed Brampton. Proceed for 1 mile through the village of Heads Nook and a further mile until the road bears sharply right. As the road bears right, turn left into FAUGH village - you will find the String of Horses on your left as you go down the hill.
